today makes the 36th time the earth has gone around the sun since i took my first breath...

i'm gonna spend it finishing up the quilting on one of my favorite vintage quilts....i'll share pictures later :)

and i have a pot roast in the crockpot, mmmmm...

already, again??

that pesky birthday thing is back :)  today marks the 35th time the earth went around the sun since i started breathing- 35....not too shabby. i did notice the other day that i have a little patch of grey hair *shrug* i've had a grey eyebrow hair for a couple years now, so i knew the grey head hair was going to be setting up shop soon...

i had a fun day sewing with friends at lisa's house. i worked on my 30s swap blocks and ate chocolate cake.

i found out this weekend that i share my birthday with the wonderful Bonnie Hunter. very cool....a fellow 123 baby. i wonder who else shares my birthday

*goggling that*  here's a list if your interested....i recognize some names...i see a princess...hello! where's my name????

my friend Lisa also helped add to the girth of my waistline :) it was delicious and i ate the whole thing!! by m.y.s.e.l.f ! i was told that if you eat your own birthday cake that the calories don't count....right? :)

birthday day

i had a great day! thanks for the birthday wish comments!

davis went to our local chinese buffet and got me a box of my most favorite cakes (anybody can go to the store and get a sheet cake) there is a lanuage barrier, davis was trying to explain the the owner what he wanted, and the owner kept pointing to them on the buffet. then our 'normal' waitress noticed davis and came over wanting to know where i was at, he explained the situatiuon to her, she explained it to the owner, and i got my cake!....they melt in your mouth like cotton candy and aren't sugar heavy....

i forgot to mention that barney's shares my birthday...he got his share of cake. lucky enjoyed a slice too....lucy turned her nose up in true feline fashion

one two-three

so today is the thirty-third time i celebrate my entry to this world *wave*

(let them eat cake)

{evil smirk}

i LOVE it when a plan works out the way it's planned! yesterday (it's after midnite) was davis's birthday, and i must say a BIG thank you to the ladies (and gents) from the APQS and MQR chat forums for the help! my email birthday bomb for davis was a HUGE success!!! i posted on both forums that i would like everyone to send davis a birthday greeting email. well, what a response he got! he got greetings from the UK, australia, norway, finland, canada, and of course the good ole USA. i watched him smile ear to ear opening them all and reading them. i asked him when was the last time he recieved international birthday wishes? he LOVED it!

being the man he is, he sent a thank you to each and every one...quilters really are selfless.

to quote davis's reply to one nay-sayer: "there may be strange people, but no 'strangers' in the quilt world...."
