so off to the vet we went, and i was right- ear infection. poor bubba...
so now we have liquid drops that go in his ears and oral antibiotics, plus i give him a benedryl so he can sleep through the pain (per vet directions) ....i am being a very good nurse.
i had no idea how much he actually weighed. i guessed him between 50 to 55 pounds. boy was i off- he is close to 70 pounds.....fatty :)

ReplyDeleteJust had to do that with my little dog, but I count myself and him, lucky, my brother's dog had to go under anesthesia for a really bad ear infection we didn't realize he had. Hope Barney feels better soon.

awww. I hate it when they've got problems and it takes us forever to figure it out. My poor kitty almost went blind from high blood pressure, but luckily we caught it just in time 2 weeks ago. The meds saved his eyes. :)

ReplyDeleteMy Chaweenie has been sick for 2 days now, no eating, drinking, going potty. Just sleeping. I think his is an ear infection too so I put some Sweet Oil in it last night to see if that's it. Still doing nothing but sleeping but I did use an eye dropper to get some water in him.
