another finish!!

i finished my charmed star quilt. all i need to do now is hand stitch the binding, but i am too excited to wait and had to share it now!!

you can see how i tackled the whole not-enuf-of-one-fabric-for-the-border issue. i put a chunk of the floral in the middle and flanked it with the other print...

i quilted it with my free hand E2E design i call 'scroll work' in a peachy coral thread that coordinates perfectly! 

here's the backing fabric. i saw it at JoAnn's while i was there to get something else....i swear. :) too perfect to pass up.


another flimsy bites the dust and it'll look awesome hanging at the top of the stairs for May...
barney was an extremely motivated and helpful assistant today.
