i got the phone call from my dad that i've been dreading. Granny left this world this morning (sunday) at around 12:30am. thankfully she went quickly and painlessly. to have been raised by her since i can remember, this is me losing my mother, grandmother, and best friend all at once....
granny was such a character. you would of loved her! she was a practical person. her quick wit would always leave people speechless, but laughing. i am honored that she taught me everything she knew. i am especially grateful for the quilting lessons :) i was raised right....and i have perfect table manners cause "what if you get invited to the white house to have supper with the president" :) her sense of humor was a touch on the sarcastic side, but once you got use to it, it was okay. heaven opened the gates for a gem today....she'll have God laughing so hard....
if you would- send a good thought/prayer me and my dad's way...it's gonna get worse before it gets better, ya know....
*damn it*
I'm so sorry for your loss. She looks like a spunky lady. I'll keep you in my prayers. take care.

I know how hard it is to lose someone, Shannon. Be with family, cry, remember the fun and good times you shared and keep things that remind you of her near you. If you are headed up to TN, drive safe. Her picture looks like a lady I would like to have known.

Shannon, so sorry to hear of your sweet granny's passing. It will certainly be hard, and you are going to miss her terribly, but what wonderful memories you will carry in your heart. Share her love and pass on what she has taught you. What a special gift she gave you when she passed her talents on to you :-) I'll be thinking of you over the next few days.
