i swear i'm not a robot!!

i love comments, i do. makes this whole blogging thing feel not so one sided. so when i'm out cruising thru blog land, i try to return the favor and leave comments on blogs (i do read thru the previous comments before posting so i'm not a repeater)

i have to laugh at some of the word verifications i've come across...here's two i found yesterday. can you read them??

needless to say, i got both wrong and got new (easier to read) words to prove i'm not a machine....

ETA: this is a spam comment i got that blogger caught and wasn't published:

  1. These things ARE ridiculous and, IMO, unnecessary. You're right that some of them are a hoot. Not only that, I once forgot to type the second one before hitting enter and the comment went through anyway!

  2. It seems like the last few days have been horrible with these words. I am finding that I am missing them maybe three or four times before getting them right. BTW....did you know that you do not need to put the numbers in? The word only works just fine.

  3. Sometimes you do not need to put the numbers in, but sometimes it won't go through without them. I can't read most of the numbers and I can't read a lot of the words. If I can't get it in two tries, I just move on. Makes me sad because I do like blogging friends and I'll probably miss out on some because of the word & Number verification.
I'm suddenly getting quite a few spam comments, and so far blogger has caught them all.
I did take the verification off my own blog and found it has merely made it easier for those who comment while not increasing the spam.

  4. I've gotten to the point where I see it as a mystery word game challenge... Between desyphering the word/numbers to attaching made up definitions to the decoded jumble of letters.
    Have a great day.
    Always, Queenie

  5. Lately these have gotten harder to read for me. Just on Friday I had to try 5 times or two different blogs to get it right. And on another one 3 different times. This is just a little too time consuming. I usually think of it as a challenge, but I can't waste all day re-trying to decode these letters and numbers. Good to know I'm not the only one that has these problems.

  6. I ****HATE**** the verification process. They're getting worse by the week, too, as far as legibility.

  7. LOL! I too hate those verification words! They may cut out spam, but also cut out me......

  8. You are so funny, but what you say is sooooooo true!!! I hate those words too, I can't read half of them, and that's with glasses on.

  9. I disabled that on my blog so people wouldn't have to go through that! What a pain it is!
