i recently had the pleasure to quilt mary's grinch quilt.
if you'll excuse my indulgence, i think my cotton candy E2E was made for this quilt...
i love it when a good plan together...
another flimsy bites the dust and the parade of Christmas quilts begins *grin*
oh, i have to show you my design wall (and floor) today!
you know how i make blocks for the block lotto? in september we made curved pieced rail fence blocks (block tutorial link here)...well, i had a feeling that i wouldn't be quite lucky enuf to win two months in a row, so i dug through my batik stash and cut 132 rectangles to make a quilt using this block!!!
i have all the blocks made and waiting to start sewing into rows...it'll be big: 88inches wide by 96inches long. i'm waiting til i get it to a flimsy before deciding on borders....

ReplyDeleteHoly Rail Fence. That is one very hot quilt!!!
ReplyDeleteokay, you have to quit doing such really neat things... I am going to have to make one of these with some of my stash I am trying to downsize... It would really be a neat little kids quilt. Love it...
ReplyDelete“And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow,
ReplyDeletestood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so? It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags. And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store. What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more.”
i knew i would love how that grinch quilt ended!
I WANT IT!!!! HOW MUCH WOULD YOU CHARGE TO MAKE ONE?
