the big reveal!

i finished the christmas-present-to-myself quilt!  i showed you the backing fabric as i was loading it on the frame! here's a reminder...notice my helpful studio assistant!

so what quilt did i pair it with....Footnotes!

*SQUEE!* i want to buried with this quilt. it is hands-down my favorite of all my quilts.

it is a queen sized quilt: 90" x 103". it is all based on 2.5" cut strips and squares. blocks finish at 12".

this is my favorite shot.... i was sewing the binding on. yup- my sewing machine has an eye. i have these stickers.

that was my grandmother's machine. my grandfather bought for her for their 10th wedding anniversary. she taught me how to quilt on it, and i still use it to this day. the serial number has it produced in 1954. i'll blog about my vintage machines one day.

i quilted it with my topo meander.

and a flimsy transformed into a beautiful quilt and they lived happily ever after. the end...
