playing with UFOs

LAing isn't holding my attention today, so i decided to do some piecing...i grabbed a bag outta the UFO pile that has these drunkard's path blocks in it. i have the majority pieced, so i'm playing with a layout.

help me decide. i kindda know which one i'm leaning towards...
first this one...it has incomplete circles intertwined

and this one which is the 'traditional' X layout of Solomon's puzzle...

i plan on quilting it with an free hand E2E spikey swirl thing i do...the border fabric was in the bag too...

which do you like? why?

    I prefer the incomplete circles as well. The other quilt just doesn't seem to have any 'design' to it...maybe in the picture it is lost? It just looks like a mish mash of color...

    I vote for #1 as well but it looks like too much blue in one area, needs reworking of the colors. Yep, that should do it! G

    well, it looks like I dont really have to say which one I like cause everbody is saying it before me but I like the first one better, I think because of the randomness of the quarter, half and full circles.
