west trip #4: the point of it all

the whole point of going west was to teach....after hanging out with Linda for the day, we packed the car and headed to Bonnie's so i could teach.

we pit stopped here....

O.H. M.Y. F.A.B.R.I.C G.O.O.D.N.E.S.S....

i had to check that i hadn't in fact died in an ugly car wreck and was instantly in quilt heaven....

and this is just ONE side of the store!

check out the view from the deck off bonnie's studio space....

see those blobs in the picture???

this is what they are (hot air balloons).....what a treat....

i'm telling you, if i ever run away from home- i'm going to bonnie's.

there were blueberry bushes in the backyard you could just walk out there and eat them off the bush....

where are all my students????
there they are....it was lunch time!

there was a nice gazeboo outside that we lunched in...i'm telling you, i'm a southern girl through and through- but i could live in the pacific northwest...
the weather is just perfection! no humidity, no mass clouds of mosquitoes, no fire ants, no humidity!

i have naturally curly hair- no humditiy is a very VERY big deal!

(bonnie has my dream sewing studio- full kitchen and bath! i told davis that i wanted a kitchen and bathroom in my studio and he said "NO!" i was a little surprised and asked why not? he replied "if you had all that, you'd never come out"...........     good point, moving right along....

i have to share a picture of my fourlegged friends at bonnie's

this is Hazel...a Puggle (pug and beagle mix). Hazel was a puppy and hince a little unruly. she liked to bite my fingers. by the end of the weekend, the joke amognst the ladies was: "OFF, SIT, SETTLE!"

hey it worked.... :)

and this is Scabby Cat....the friendly-est little cuss of a cat. all he wanted to do was sleep in your lap. as his name demotes, he was scabby. he just showed up at bonnie's very sick and skinny, but he's getting better.

i kept singing the 'smelly cat' song from the tv show friends....i just switched 'scabby' with 'smelly'

i tried to take his picture to not show the scabs, but if you look closely you can kinda see them....i almost brought him home with me....seriously.

look at that face!

they  liked my southern accent....they didn't have an accent to me, but i could hear my accent when i talkeed to them....they were saying y'know and y'all before i left...i had loads of fun with my accent...i don't think many southerners make it to that corner of the states....i'd say something and immdiatley i'd get that cocked eyebrow.....*grin* a lady asked me what i was doing in WA, and i told her the south kicked me out cause i thunked too much....it took her a second to realize i was joking....

okay two more west trips posts and i'll be done.....pinkie swear.

Wow, Bonnie does indeed have a beautiful place. Sounds like you really enjoyed yourself. Cute pets too! I think Davis is right, you'd never come up for air if you had all those conveniences in your studio. LOL!
