tulip applique

as you may know i'm in a finish-some-UFOs mode. so i'll be posting some random WIPs as they get finished....this one i'm too excited to wait...
i have one more block to go and i have the tulip applique blocks done!!! i started this project forever ago. it was my first attempt at 'regular' applique. up to that point i had only done hawaiian applique (which i have 2 blocks just hanging out somewhere...i'll post one day)

so i ask my readers for their advice. what color should i do the sashing? should i also cornerstone? does it need sashings? what about borders? i have no fabric left over from the blocks, so i'll be buying (or shopping from the stash) fabric to finish up this top....what do you think?

I think you should use a narrow sashing (like an inch to 1-1/2 inches), no cornerstones and try to kinda match the white as you dont want the sashing to stand out and take your eye away from the beautiful blocks.
