motion of the ocean

i have a quilt to share!! all these show quilts have left my blog empty of stitching goodness. i promise the wait will be worth it!

this is laura's ocean waves quilt. you know i was *drooling* over all the fassett fabrics!  i'm in quilt love

simply devine!!! a simple CC in all the HST and my tribal swirl in the big corner triangles made a nice secondary design. the inner border is ribbon candy with a tribal swirl vine for the outer border.

on the sickness front- i went to the doc yesterday and i have an inner ear infection and a cold with NO runny nose. i've lost my voice and i sound all wheezy when i breath. i feel much better than monday and have gotten back to quilting *yay* thanks for all the well wishes...

  1. Absolutely so nice quilt!!! Perhaps that design is what I should do with my Fassett-stash?

  2. OMG, I just saw this pattern on Clotilde's website, and was seriously thinking of getting it. Now I KNOW I'm getting it. It's fabulous, and your quilting makes it fabulouser. The magenta border takes the top over the top!

Feel better. Summer colds ar the worst!

  4. This quilt pattern was the first one I saw so many years ago (in a book of historical Amish quilts) that made me want to make a quilt. I haven't made it yet. Thanks for reminding me of it and for representing it so brilliantly. What a HAPPY quilt! You should be very proud of yourself. A real treasure.

  5. Beautiful! Love how you did the white.
For an ear ache use Sweet Oil. My daughter told me about it and it's fabulous! Sorry about your infection. Must be terrible pain.

  7. Wow, isn't that gorgeous! I've often looked at this pattern trying to decide what colours/fabrics I would use. This is really fun and such a happy feeling from this quilt, I love it. Thanks so much for sharing. Sure hope you're feeling better soon, you've had a real nasty one! Take care.
