my poor sad slow little computer is on it's last legs. i wouldn't be surprised if it died soon. when i try to open a large content webpage, my processor sounds like an airplane taking off. it was so loud it used to scare barney...
it's been a llllooooonnnggg time since i PC shopped. i want something that will support windows 7 and blogger (duh). i have to have large storage for pictures and documents (i'm open to an external hard drive)...i dream of adobe photoshop. i'm teaching LAing now, so i'll need programs for that....
i'm thinking i'll look at Dell and HP (not the touch screen tho) laptop or desktop?
I have a Toshiba Laptop and I love it. Have fun shopping. Hugs
ReplyDeleteI have a Dell Inspiron laptop with a 17 inch screen, and a Core I5 processor. I'm running Windows 7 on it. It has a 500 gig hard drive, and is a great little 'puter. I'd recommend it. I don't remember exactly how much it was, but I got it about a year ago at Best Buy.
ReplyDeleteHave fun!

I have a Dell and love it. You can even get them in colors. Get a lot of RAM (memory) and hard drive (storage).
ReplyDeleteI have an HP that I picked up for a good price at Costco. Seems fine. I had a Dell before, it was fine. As long as they work is all I care. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love my Macbook Pro!
ReplyDeleteit's pricey - but - i love my macbook pro - it's so user friendly - and you can get apps that make it compatible with other softwares.
ReplyDeletePS - don't make me come down there......do not scare my barney.
I definitely recommend a laptop. You can carry it anywhere you need to go including the local coffee shop or when you're traveling and still want to keep up with things. Of course, you'll need a wireless router at home if you don't have one. I have a Toshiba with a 17" screen, but probably any laptop you buy today will have enough power to run everything you want. So just get the price you can! That's my 2 cents.
ReplyDeleteToshiba laptop with BIG 17" screen. And don't let them talk you into a service contract. I love my $700 Toshiba and it has everything you could want in a high-powered 'puter. I almost went the way of mega-bucks Dell but got talked off that ledge by a very very knowledgeable techie. Love my Toby!! Don't let 'em scare you with that service contract double-talk.
ReplyDeletecheck today's news...HP considering going out of computer business.
ReplyDelete"Hewlett-Packard is looking to spin off its industry-leading but struggling personal computer business, it said Thursday. HP also killed off its new TouchPad tablet and its webOS smartphone."
5 days & not one doodly word....
ReplyDeletedid your pc kick it?
