now what???

with my flimsy finish of HRCM i do not have anything to sew....*crap*

but blogland sent me a answer.... kaelin over at The Plaid Scottie is hosting a DWR sew along starting in july. i mulled it over and decided it was the push i needed to start my dream DWR quilt.

i pulled out my kona color card and ordered yardage of Pomegranate from hancock's of paducah. i plan on using some scraps for the wedges and i'm still narrowing down the fourpatch fabric where the wedges meet...

i'm also looking for my next applique project. i don't have anything to work on in front of the tv...so if a muse reads this, i could really use a visit *grin*

posts look better with a picture....here's lucky on the bed in the spare room with that ear sticking out. he's getting old and i'm letting him pretty do what he wants when he wants. he's earned it.....he has lost his hearing. the big clue was he doesn't hear the doorbell- even unwrapping a slice of cheese doesn't work it's magic.

  2. So sad for your little pup. I have a similar situation. My little 16 year old JRT is blind, deaf, and doesn't have much of a sense of smell left, but she still loves her food!

  3. Please post lots of pictures of your DWR. I can't wait to see the "Pieceful Kwilter" spin on something that traditional.

  4. Sigh.... why did I go to the Plaid Scottie page? Why? Now I'm seriously considering joining in on the DWR sew along. I really, really don't need another project but I've always wanted to make a DWR quilt. That and Grandmother's Garden are the two traditional ones that I love. Sigh.....

  6. How old is Lucky? Must be getting up there? My dog, Jesse, is 15 now and really showing his age. Panting, coughing and having trouble with stairs and can't always jump into the car or onto the couch. But then at other times he still has that spark and runs and jumps a bit again. I've had him for 13+ years so it is hard to imagine life without him.

  7. I allowed Toby all sorts of behaviors, not to let him get away with murder but that I knew his time was limited and I wanted to be kind. He never overstepped his boundaries. Treasure every moment, I miss my boy terribly.

  8. Aww - look at that precious puppy! I once saw a pillow that said "if you want the best seat in the house, move the dog". I think both of us need that pillow, lol!
