Love that - I'm a Knoxville girl, myself!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun way to use old t-shirt, especially those "souvenir"tshirts from around the world, that you get tired of wearing soon after they are bought.

Great quilt...great memories. Wasn't it nice to have a snow day. I live in Cleveland, TN and they even closed the government offices! When they do that I know I'm not going out to drive!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great job you did....looks wonderful.
ReplyDeleteLove the quilt! T-shirts are such fun to make into quilts. I live in Nashville - think I need to make a music city quilt - hmmmm. Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeletewe managed a snow day here in richmond, va. i've got a t-shirt quilt to be working on, but i think i will wait a while. i'm still recovering from the last one.
ReplyDeleteyou had to mention 11/11/11. I hadnt even thought it but you are right... and just a note of interest.. nmy son Mike (Amy's husband) birthday is 11/11/11.. he will be 49 .. oh my goodness, my daughter will be 50 in October... and I am going to be a great-grandmother this summer... time flies when you are quilting and having fun
ReplyDeleteGreat quilt. I was going to do one for DH and told him to just cut the fronts off his shirts so I could use them. He cut around the pictures: lots of little, rubbery pieces. I haven't yet decided what I am going to do with them. ;-)
