That's so funny! Several years ago, my husband was determined to learn how to type. While researching the best way to learn, he read up on the dvorak keyboard. So he taught himself to type that way but he doesn't actually have one of those keyboards. He just changes the setting in Windows so it thinks he's using the dvorak one. Now whenever I try to use his computer, I end up with gobbly gook because none of the keys match up to what I think they do. He does say it's a much easier way to type, but I'm fine with my henpecking.
OMG! Nope, not this girl!!! I've been typing on a "regular" keyboard for some 40 years -- nope, I have no room left in my brain for a Dvorak keyboard or whatever you call that thingamajig!
the 'qwerty' keyboard that most of us use was specifically designed to slow typists down because the old manual typewriters couldn't keep up with their typing speed. The 'dvorak' keyboard once you learn it is meant to be quicker because the letters most commonly used are in the position of easiest access, that's my understanding of the 2 different keyboards. Just a bit of trivia.
thanks so much for taking the time to comment, they feed my blog. i do my best to reply to each and every one! you can bet your comments are ALWAYS read and appreciated.
